Our Waitlist Is Closed

The Housing Authority of Thurston County (HATC) has closed the waitlist. We will not be accepting any new applications at this time. When we open the waitlist up to receiving more applications, we will announce it.

Applicant Portal:

We recently transitioned to a new software system. For your convenience, we are now offering a new secure, online service called Assistance Connect. This service allows you to contact us and make requests online rather than in-person or by mail. Some of the services offered include:

•Update your contact information
•View Waiting List status
•Update household information

In order to use Assistance Connect, you must first create an account online at www.myassistanceconnect.com. Simply click on “Create a applicant account” and follow the instructions on the screen. You will need a PIN. We recently mailed out letters that included your specific PIN. If you did not receive it, please contact StephanieH@hatc.org for a copy.

You will also need the Head of Household's Last Name, Date of Birth, Social Security Number, and the PIN above in order to create the account.

Once you’ve completed creating your applicant account, keep your account information in a safe place. You are required to log in to access Assistance Connect to make requests and check the status of your requests.

Common Questions:

If I am selected, do I need to do anything while I am on the waitlist?
You will need to make sure you update your contact information with us if it changes. If your name reaches the top of the list or if we send you an Information Update request and you do not respond, you will be removed from the waitlist. If you are removed from a waitlist, you would need to reapply when the waitlist is open again. If you have been notified that you've been selected to be placed on a waitlist, go to the online portal at www.assistancecheck.com to create an Applicant account if you have not already done so. Through the applicant portal you will be able to check your status on the waitlist, update contact information.
